日本橋を歩くと稲荷神社に当たるというくらいお稲荷さんが多いですね。商業の街だからでしょうか。
土地柄小さな神社が多いですが、今回訪れた橘稲荷神社もとても小さな神社でした。しかし規模に関係なくとても綺麗にされている神社です。着飾った狐さんも可愛いですよ！

There are so many Inari shrines in Nihonbashi that when you walk around, you hit one. Maybe it is because Nihonbashi is a commercial district.
There are many small shrines in the area, and the Tachibana Inari Shrine I visited this time was also a very small shrine. Regardless of its size, however, it is a very beautiful shrine. And the dressed-up foxes are adorable!

橘稲荷神社由来
このあたり江戸期には新和泉町といわれたが、将軍家御典医・岡本玄冶の邸があったことから、一帯を玄冶店と俗称した。
当稲荷ははじめ御殿山にあったものが、のちに江戸城内へ移り、さらに玄冶に賜って当地へ移された。
稲荷名の橘は岡本家の姓に因んだとされる。
安政六年の尾張屋清七板古地図では、現在地よりやや北側に記されている。
数百年に亘り、素朴な信仰の対象として土地の人々により守り継がれて来た。特定の個人や企業の所有ではなく、町のお稲荷さんとして親しまれている。
大正以降、運よく震災・戦災を免れて来たが、老朽化の為このほど地元町民多数の浄財により再建された。

This area was called Shin Izumi-cho in the Edo period (1603-1867), and was commonly called Genyadana because of the residence of Genya Okamoto, a doctor who served the Shogun’s family.
This Inari was originally located in Gotenyama, but was later moved to the Edo Castle, and then to this area after being given to Genya.
It is said that the name “Tachibana” was derived from the family name of the Okamoto family.
According to an old map by Seishichi Owariya of Ansei 6, it is located slightly north of the present site.
For several hundred years, it has been protected by the local people as an object of simple faith. It is not owned by any particular person or company, but is well known as the Inari-san of the town.
Since the Taisho era (1912-1926), it has been fortunate to have survived earthquakes and war damage, but due to its age, it was recently rebuilt with funds donated by many local residents.

神社の境内 precincts
狭い敷地の為、鳥居も若干細目です。
ブロック塀で神社は囲われていて神域としっかり分けられています。
Because the site is small, the torii gate is also somewhat narrow.
The shrine is surrounded by a block wall, isolating the sacred area.
蛇口のひねるところがなく、水は出すことができませんでした。
Cannot turn on the faucet. There is no water.
首に水晶をつけているとってもおしゃれな狐さんです。
He is a very stylish fox with a crystal around his neck.
きのこ偏見ですが、若干ガラ悪くも見えます。目つきも鋭い！
小さな社です。水とグミがお供えされていました。お供えされてからまだ時間は経っていなそうです。なぜか榊は片方しかありませんでしたが、綺麗に整備されている印象です。
A small shrine. Water and gummy bears were offered. It seems that it has not been long since the offering was made. For some reason, there was only one sakaki , but I got the impression that the shrine was well maintained.
きのここういう風に小さな神社でも、お供えものや境内が綺麗にされていると、地元の方に愛されているなと感じて嬉しくなります。

■ネックレスを付けている珍しい狛狐さんがいます。
■隣のビルの喫煙所の側にあるので、たばこ吸っている人からの視線が痛いよ。
