日本橋は小さな神社がたくさんあります。馬喰町駅で降りて周辺の神社を参拝することにしました。
まずは江戸七森のひとつである「竹森神社」を参拝しました。

Nihonbashi has many small shrines. I got off at Bakurocho station and decided to visit shrines in the area.
First of all, I visited Takemori Shrine, one of the Edo Shichimori shrines.
きのこ江戸七森とは、「神が宿る神社の森」として崇敬された、江戸市中の七つの森と神社の総称のことを言うそうです。

小伝馬町三丁目の守護神である
「竹森神社」は、江戸時代よりこの付近に竹やぶが多く、竹につながる町、竹職人の町ともいわれ、竹藪にちなんで竹森神社としたと言われている。
神体は伏見稲荷からもらいうけ、俗に「江戸七森」の一つに数えられて、江戸市中、数多い稲荷神社の中で由緒深いものとされている。

Takemori Shrine is said to have been named after the bamboo thicket, as there have been many bamboo groves in this area since the Edo period (1603-1867), and it is said to be a town connected to bamboo and a town of bamboo craftsmen.
The shrine is said to have been named Takemori Shrine after the bamboo thicket. The shrine is one of the “Edo Shichimori” (seven forests in Edo), and is considered one of the most venerable of the many Inari shrines in Edo City.

竹森神社の境内 precincts
保存会の旗が鳥居より目立っていました。
The flag of the preservation society stood out more prominently than the torii gate.
手水は出ておりませんでした。
There was no hand water out.
狛犬には珍しいツルツルした石を使用した像でした。
檻に入っていてお顔がよく見えないのが残念です。
The statue was made of slippery stone, which is rare for a guardian dog.
It is a pity that we cannot see his face clearly because he is in a cage.
中央に「竹森神社」と書かれた提灯がぶら下がっていました。鈴は以前はあったようですが、コロナだからか撤去されていました。
A lantern with “Takemori Shrine” written on it was hanging in the center. There used to be a bell, but it had been removed, probably because of the corona.
きのこ晴れた日に参拝しましたが、日当たりがよくなく暗い写真ばかりになってしまいました。
隣が公園なのと綺麗に整備されていたので、怖さは感じませんでした。
竹森神社の御札 Ofuda
竹森神社は社務所などなく、基本的には無人の神社です。
ですが、賽銭箱の横に「商売繁昌家内安全」の御札が置かれていました。
こちらの御札の授与方法・初穂料などの説明書きはありませんでした。常に置かれているものなのかも不明です。
Takemori Shrine is basically an unmanned shrine with no shrine office.
However, there was a “business prosperity and family safety” talisman placed next to the money box.
There was no written explanation of how to receive this talisman or the initial fee. It is also unclear if the cards are always available.
